Posadas and the star
Mexican posadas are associated with the pointed star piñata. Traditional explanations connect the seven points with the seven deadly sins. Acolman is a reference for the craft and its cultural history; this guide is context rather than a claim about the origin of every contemporary design.
Different forms today
The catalog includes stars, round drums, characters, fruit and animals. Looking at their shapes and paper finishes can be an activity for a group. A cultural reference does not mean the workshop hosts a scheduled event or a historical demonstration.
Prepare your own request
For a posada, compare the star and Christmas collection. Tell the workshop your event date and quantity and ask about the design and availability. Do not assume a particular number of points, size, filling or delivery arrangement without confirmation.
